A terror suspect of Somali origin was arrested early Sunday at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, officials said.
The man was flying to Uganda from Liverpool, England, via Amsterdam, said Evert Boerstra, spokesman for the public prosecutor's office. The suspect was arrested as the flight was readying for departure, he said.
The man, who was not identified, was being questioned about possible links to international terrorist organizations, Boerstra said.
The arrest took place in the airplane, said Rene Claessen of the Royal Dutch Marechaussee police at Schiphol.
