Breaking: Suspicious package examined on Delta jet

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the FBI, the Transportation Security Administration, the Port of Portland and Delta Airlines are investigating what they say could be suspicious items found on a Tuesday Delta flight from Tokyo to Portland.

The FBI declined to identify the items or why agents considered them suspicious. Agents said the items were not explosives.

The flight arrived at Portland International Airport at about 8 a.m. The plane had 155 passengers and 10 crew on board.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers are processing passengers and baggage through security. FBI Agents are interviewing passengers and crew and looking for possible evidence in the incident.
